Gloria Arnold, RN, MSN, CCRN-K, Pediatric Registry Director

Registry Partners, Incorporated

Site Coordinator for:

Miller Children’s Hospital- Long Beach, CA

Mattel UCLA – Los Angeles, CA

Cedars-Sinai – Los Angeles, CA

Gloria started her career in bedside nursing in Pediatrics in 1976 as a new grad. She soon realized that her passion lied in dealing with the sickest of sick patients there. Thus she moved to Indianapolis, IN to work in the Riley Children’s Hospital Pediatric ICU. As it was the only one in the state, Gloria’s knowledge base and interest in improving patient outcomes emerged. Gloria found her calling and has remained in pediatric critical care since that time. She served in a variety of roles, PICU bedside nurse, Transport Coordinator, and PICU Manager in three different children’s hospitals. After 34 years in bedside nursing, Gloria was offered the chance to participate as a member of the Miller Children’s Hospital VPS team, (alongside site coordinator, Jill Hall ?).  She fell in love with this aspect of nursing, knowing that she was playing a role in quality improvement with quality data entry and analysis to help improve pediatric critical care patient outcomes. During her tenure at Miller, Gloria was also involved with other quality data bases for both physicians and nursing administration.

Gloria is honored to be a member of the Registry Partners pediatric management team while participating in the Site Coordinator Role for three California hospitals. In this role, Gloria manages every aspect of each project from onboarding, weekly abstraction, weekly quality checks, through quarterly submission. She is excited about sharing her PICU and VPS knowledge with abstractors, hospital administration, and physician champions alike for improved patient care.

Gloria relocated to St. George, UT this year where she lives with her husband, Steve. Daughter, Erica, 22, recently graduated from NYU and is eagerly awaiting word from medical schools to which she just applied. Her younger daughter, Erin, 17, is a senior in high school. She enjoys spending time with family, their 2 lovable dogs, and friends, camping, bicycle built for two riding with her husband, and reading.
