Tennessee Oncology Data Analysts Association (TODAA) Annual Educational Conference

On October 17 & 18, 2019, Registry Partners enjoyed attending the TODAA 37th Annual Education Conference. The conference was held in Gatlinburg, TN at the Edgewater Hotel and Conference Center. One of the highlights was the presentation given by Patricia Lentz titled “Retirement: Things I Have Learned”. Patricia recently retired from 41 years of service in the Cancer Registry field. She emphasized the importance of investing in others, setting up your facility for success and leaving a legacy.

Registry Partners would like to thank all of the people who stopped by the booth. The members of TODAA were very welcoming and we are grateful for the opportunity to be a part of the meeting.

Also, a special congratulations to Toni Whitten, the winner of the $50 Visa Gift Card raffled at the meeting.

 

Oncology Registrars Associaton of New Jersey (ORANJ) & Metropolitan New York Cancer Registrars Association (MNYCRA) Regional Educational Conference

Registry Partners had the pleasure of attending this years ORANJ & MNYCA Regional Educational Conference this year from October 17th-18th, 2019. The meeting was held at the Tropicana Casino in Atlantic City, NJ with the theme “Rolling the Dice on Change”. The conference kicked off with speaker Arnold Baskies, MD, DABS, FACS who gave a speech on “Tomorrow is Today: Cancer in the 21st Century”. Dr. Baskies helped shed light on the current achievements in cancer care and spoke to what the future holds in terms of challenges and goals. Other sessions topics included AJCC 8th Edition General Rules, information on Breast Surgical Options, Reconstruction, and Areola 3D Nipple Micropigmentation. There were also sessions centered around genetic testing, head and neck, coding, and NJSCR updates.

Registry Partners raffled a $100 Visa gift card at the conference and the lucky winner was Gabrielle Iacono! Congratulations to Gabrielle!
