Registry Partners had the privilege of being an exhibitor at the Association of Cancer Executives 25th Annual Meeting in Charleston, South Carolina. The Association of Cancer Executives (ACE) conference was held on January 28th & 29th at the Belmond Charleston Place located in the heart of downtown Charleston.

Oncology program leaders from all over the United States came together to network for support, solutions, and strategies to improve their programs. The two days were filled with 30-45-minute presentations focusing on the key issues facing oncology programs.

On Tuesday, the keynote speaker, Jonathan Fanning, spoke to the group about Who Are You Becoming as A Leader? He told us to ask ourselves “Who are you becoming?” and “Who are you helping the people around you become?”  This inspirational talk encouraged us to do the following:

  • Let people know they matter
  • Clarify and simplify
  • Happen to the world
  • Practice courage
  • Be there!

“Your plate is full, but you decide what is placed on the plate.”

This quote had us reflect on our lives and make a mental note of the things that we want to change to become a better leader.

The exhibitors were at the conference to showcase the latest oncology products and services. To encourage networking with the exhibitors, a Scavenger Hunt required visiting each booth to obtain the answers to the questions. There were 1st to 4th place prizes for the individuals with the highest amount of points.

Registry Partners had a drawing for a smart suitcase that was won by Judy Fisher. Congratulations, Judy! We look forward to attending next year’s 2020 ACE Annual Meeting in New Orleans, Louisiana.  For more information about next year’s conference click here.
