‘Tis the season, and that means an increase in nefarious emails with nasty attachments. The Registry Partners IT department has seen a rise in the emails being received regarding invoices or accounts payable that are scams. Most of these emails will have an attachment, or a link in the email they want you to click. Please don’t open the attachments or click any links in these emails. This time of year is the peak for email scams trying to get users to click on attachments or links because of holiday shopping and the increase in online transactions.
If you have or you do accidentally click one of these, we recommend you contact your IT department or a local service and repair shop so they can check your computer and make sure no infections have been installed.
