Cancer Registry Data: A Powerful Tool for Every Cancer Program

Dawn DeBolt, BS, RHIA, CTR of Registry Partners recently published an article in the Society of Radiation Oncology Administrators membership newsletter (Volume 28 Number 2, 2018), titled “Cancer Registry Data:  A Powerful Tool for Every Cancer Program”.

The purpose of the article was to draw attention to the significant importance of Cancer Registry Data and ensure hospital administrators and members of the oncology care team are aware this data is readily accessible to them and how the data can tell a story about cancer care and outcomes at their institution.

This is the second article members of the Registry Partners team have submitted to the Society of Radiation Oncology Administrators for publication.  A previous article titled “Understanding Cancer Registry Data Collection and Data Mining” (authored by Linda Reimers and co-authored and edited by Dawn DeBolt) was published in 2017 and shared via the Registry Partners blog in February, 2018.

Registry Partners has again received permission from the Society of Radiation Oncology to share a PDF version of the article for our blog and social media followers.  SROA members can retrieve the full newsletter via the SROA website at www.sroa.org (members-only section).
