“When do you begin abstracting your RQRS cases?

Our hospitals have varied approaches to their time frames, but in most cases we abstract the case at two months from date of first contact.  At this time the surgical treatment is often completed and the alerts assist in completion of all adjuvant treatment. This approach requires more concurrent casefinding, but allows a more complete initial abstract to be submitted to RQRS.
