Linda Reimers devoted the last 13 years of her cancer registry career to Registry Partners where she served in many different roles, most recently as Director of Business Development for Oncology Services. Linda began her career in the cancer registry field on December 8, 1980, and spent the last 39 years inspiring and mentoring many fellow registrars. When deciding on a retirement date, Linda chose December 8, 2019… the beginning and end to a wonderful journey – resulting in many friendships and memories that Linda will always cherish.
The weekend of December 8th, Registry Partners surprised Linda with a small gathering of senior leadership team members along with her husband and two daughters for an evening of celebration.
It was a wonderful evening reflecting on Linda and her contributions to Registry Partners and the impact she has had on the lives of so many registrars and co-workers. The team presented Linda with a “word art” wall hanging with words they felt described Linda best:

Linda shared many of her fondest memories working for Registry Partners – a few included the culture at Registry Partners, affirmation and encouragement from the Registry Partners family, working with cancer programs across the United States who are committed and passionate about providing the best care to their patients, meeting Dr. Druker who developed Gleevec and changed the way we treat patients, meeting a registrar from Kenya and visiting Harvard and Hawaii.
When asked what the last 13 years working for Registry Partners has meant to her, Linda shared, “Working at Registry Partners gave me the opportunity to grow in leadership experiences but more importantly to recognize the passion and dedication of many oncology data managers and caregivers around the country. I was blessed with a Registry Partners’ work-family I never expected but truly appreciated. The respect, support, and kindness shared with each other provided me with the very best work environment possible.”
Words cannot adequately describe the impact Linda made, not only in the area of business development but all of the lives she has touched along the way. From registrars to managers, directors to vice presidents, senior vice presidents to the corporate team – Linda’s contributions both personally and professionally will continue to shine through each of the lives she has touched along the way. Thank you for 13 amazing years Linda – you are loved by many and will be greatly missed by all.
