The National Cancer Registrars Association (NCRA) 41st Annual Meeting will be held in historic San Antonio, Texas May 20 -23 this year.  The official workshop begins on Thursday, May 21st and concludes on Saturday, May 23rd with pre and post optional workshops available.

 

The meeting offers a variety of oncology professionals such as Certified Tumor Registrars (CTR’s), Cancer Program Administrators, Oncology Nurses and other key members of cancer programs to learn the latest and greatest information on various topics such as; the transition from Collaborative Stage to Directly Coding Stage, current changes in the cancer registry/program field, learn about the latest in cancer registry products and services in the NCRA exhibit hall.  All this and more; while networking with 1,300 other professional colleagues.

 

Example Plenary Sessions feature Keynote Speaker, Clement Bezold, PhD to discuss “The Future of Primary Care and Implications for Cancer Surveillance” and Daniel McKellar, MD, FACS representing the Commission on Cancer (CoC) to discuss the “Importance of Cancer Registry Data on Improving the Quality of Care for Cancer Patients”

 

Numerous other plenary sessions, plus concurrent sessions specific to Hospitals, Data Analysis and Use, Central Cancer Registries and Registry Management are on the meeting agenda.

 

The annual meeting offers the opportunity earn over 18 CE’s over 3 days and an early bird discount registration fee until March 31st.
