If your cancer program is due for re-accreditation survey in 2016, be proactive and communicate with your assigned surveyor and begin to negotiate a mutually acceptable survey date. It is never too early to plan ahead. Surveyors can appreciate programs getting the process in motion especially if they have two surveys in the same town or area. Have several date options available for him or her to work with, be flexible and show off your coordination skills.
