Registry Partners enjoyed attending the Society of Critical Care Medicine’s (SCCM) 48th Critical Care Congress held at the San Diego Convention Center February 17-20, 2019.
The meeting brought together multidisciplinary critical care professionals who engaged in workshops and lectures hosted by renowned faculty from around the globe. In addition, there were over 100 exhibitors showcasing the latest technologies and tools to enhance the delivery, research, and development of critical care medicine.
This year’s conference was a first for Registry Partners, and there was so much to explore! Research Snapshot Theaters were located throughout the exhibitor hall that featured presentations using pediatric critical care data. The focus of these presentations was to share knowledge and promote further research on such topics as:
- Sepsis
- Shock
- Trauma
- Resuscitation
- Neuroscience
- Pulmonary disease
- Cardiovascular disease
It was rewarding to hear and see our data abstraction “at work”. In addition, the sessions provided valuable information regarding the current and future needs for pediatric critical care data.
Along the way, Registry Partners was happy to meet and talk with some of our current pediatric critical care partners and share our mission and vision with future hospital partners. The lucky winner of our “Register to Win” giveaway received a carry on suitcase filled with Registry Partners goodies! Thank you to all the conference attendees and organizers for such a rewarding and successful conference.
We look forward to next year’s conference at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida, from February 16th – 19th, 2020.
