Registry Partners had the privilege of attending the Missouri State Tumor Registrars’ Association Annual Meeting from October 23rd to 25th in Hannibal, Missouri. The meeting centered around a verity of Cancer Registry topics such as staging, data standards, and anatomy. Some of the speakers at the conference included Louanne Currence RHIT/CTR, Kathy Donelson CTR, and Nancy Rold CTR and supervisor at the MO Central Cancer Registry. There were also several physicians and community members who gave presentations on 2020 CoC Standards, information on various types of cancer, and even how to improve self-care for working professionals. Attendees also participated in case study exercises related to Colon and Breast.
The MoSTRA community, a close-knit group of Cancer Registry field members, took the Mark Twain Riverboat Dinner Cruise on Thursday night and had a fun-filled evening of food, music, and dancing; as well as an installation ceremony.
On the last day of the conference, Registry Partners raffled a $100 Visa gift card and the lucky winner was Daniel Wagner! Congratulations to Daniel!
