Navigating the Waters – Sailing into the Future
Registry Partners attended the Pennsylvania Association of Cancer Registrars’ education conference September 11-13th, 2019 in Erie, PA. The view of the bayfront was beautiful!
The conference was well attended with 83 registrars and included many speakers with varying topics, such as Precision Medicine, Emerging Technologies in Lung Cancer Diagnosis, Overview of Surgical Management of Pancreatic Neoplasia, and Biomarker Development and Advances to name a few.
Donna Gress, RHIT, CTR, presented AJCC 8th Edition Staging for Breast and Head & Neck. She covered the most up-to-date staging errata available for these sites. She also answered many staging questions from the attendees. Wendy Aldinger, RHIA, CTR, gave the annual update from the Pennsylvania Central Registry.
