June 7 is National Cancer Survivors Day 2020

Perspectives

Published/Updated Date: June 5, 2020

According to the National Cancer Survivors Day® website, NCSD is an annual celebration that is recognized in many communities across our nation and across the world. The purpose of this special event is to bring thousands of people “together” to honor cancer survivors and raise awareness that there are over 32 million cancer survivors worldwide.

This event allows cancer survivors to meet each other, share their experiences, celebrate each other and their supporters. This event also raises awareness about the challenges associated with cancer survivorship and it helps to promote research, legislation, and resources to improve the quality of life of cancer survivors nationwide.

Life after cancer is something worth celebrating. And a better quality of life for ALL cancer survivors is worth fighting for. Let’s #CelebrateLife and raise awareness of the challenges of cancer survivorship on National Cancer Survivors Day, June 7. #NCSD2020

National Cancer Survivors Day® 2020 is supported nationally by Agios, Amgen, Bluebird Bio, Coping with Cancer magazine, Exelixis, and Janssen Biotech.
