Q & A with Heather:

Q:     How did you become interested in the cancer Registry Specialist Certificate?

A:     I heard about the Certified Tumor Registrar certification from a co-worker who was looking into different programs at Ogeechee Technical College. I was a bank teller at the time. I did a little research online and found it very interesting and I just knew it was something I wanted to do.

Q:     How do you describe your job to friends and family?

A:     I usually just say I collect cancer data for those that need it.

Q:     What do you find different with your current position compared to your initial cancer registry jobs?

A:     I like being asked questions and being able to share what I know with others.
