Management Spotlight: Kim Rodriguez, AAS, RHIT, CTR- Project Director

Congratulations to Kim Rodriguez, AAS, RHIT, CTR for her promotion to Project Director at Registry Partners effective September 4, 2017.

Kim began working for Registry Partners in January 2017 as a Project Manager.  Kim has many years of experience working in CoC accredited cancer programs with a special focus on NAPBC accreditation.    As Project Director, Kim will continue to manage projects but also assist the Vice President of Accreditation Services with the oversight of CoC and NAPBC projects; providing training, mentoring and ongoing support to the CoC management team. 

Kim began her cancer registry career in 2009 as a Cancer Registrar for Baylor All Saints Medical Center in Fort Worth, TX.  In 2011, she accepted a position with Texas Health – Harris Methodist Hospital in Fort Worth, TX, as Cancer Registrar/NAPBC Accreditation Specialist where she spent five years.  She also spent two years serving as a Cancer Registry Consultant/NAPBC Accreditation for Methodist Dallas Medical Center.  In 2016, she moved to Santa Maria, CA, and accepted a position with Marian Regional Medical Center as Cancer Registry Services Supervisor.

Kim attended Tarrant County Community College in Hurst, TX, where she received her Associates of Applied Science degree in Health Information Technology.  She earned her RHIT and CTR certifications in 2011.  She is a member of the National Cancer Registrars Association and Texas Tumor Registrars Association.  

Kim has also been involved with mission work and has served in Honduras and Belize.  Additionally, she has served as a translator for a surgical team on a medical mission trip to the Dominican Republic.  When Kim lived in Texas she was deeply involved in the Susan G. Komen affiliate in Fort Worth and the American Cancer Society affiliate in North Texas.  She enjoys volunteering and giving back to the community.

Kim presently resides in Santa Maria, CA (the central California coast) since May 2016.  She has two cats, Callie and Caiden and a yellow lab, Koen.  In her spare time, Kim enjoys traveling, movies, cooking (trying new cuisines), music, painting, reading books and spending time at the beach.
