Vicky Ban has worked with Registry Partners, Inc in a full time capacity since August of 2011. She began her employment as a Project CTR. She was promoted to a Project Specialist and continued her advancement to Project Management in February of 2013. Vicky has worked on a variety of projects consisting of state report only and accredited cancer program projects. She has experience with facilities seeking and obtaining their initial CoC accreditation. Prior to her experience with RPI she worked for Butler Health System in Butler, Pennsylvania as the Cancer Registrar for almost 8 years. Vicky has a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Health Information Management from University of Pittsburgh. She became certified as an RHIA in 1994 and as a CTR in 2004.
Vicky lives in Butler, Pennsylvania with her husband Nick and two daughters Lauren and Katie ages 15 and 11. Vicky enjoys planting flowers, bike riding, and taking part in her step aerobics and Zumba classes.
Q&A with Vicky:
Q: What do you feel you have gained while working at Registry Partners?
A: Since working with a variety of clients, it has allowed me to learn the different cancer registry software programs as well as become familiar with different state reporting requirements. Some of the projects had on-site staff, which required a coordinated effort, and some had no on-site staff. I cannot imagine I would have ever gained this amount of experience in such a short period of time anywhere else!
